This question could apply to all Adobe products but I was wondering how one, using keyboard shortcut keys, could switch between Illustrator Windows. That is to say, if one has two or more .ai files open in Adobe Illustrator, is it possible to switch between these windows with an easy shortcut rather than going to the Window>filename dropdown?

Control + F6, which is about as convenient as putting the parking brake in the trunk. Why Photoshop and InDesign can have the far superior Cpntol+~ or Control+tab (and it can be changed) but Illustrator can't is a mystery.

Thanks for this tip. I agree, that Ctrl+F6 is not as good as Ctrl+Tab, but at least it is something. Thank you for your knowledgeable information. Any other useful, but less-known shortcut key tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Don:

Windows shortcuts can be found in Windows help. Illustrator keyboard shortcuts are found in Edit> Keyboard Shortcuts (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + k). steve
