Hello,

I have an eps file in Illustrator with several layers. It is an image with a drop shadow that I want to place in an InDesign document, but the problem is the background of the image is white-not transparent so when I place it in InDesign it has a whote box around it. How do I remove the white background and make it transparent. I am familiar with Photoshop where you can make the bottom-most layer transparent but I do not see an option to do so in Illustrator. Please help!!

Save as AI, not EPS. If you have InDesign there is no reason to use EPS files ever again.
