Upgraded computer to XP. Then installed Illustrator 10. Now I get an error message, " Font Capture: Illustrator.exe - Entry Point Not Found" and the following description, " The procedure entry ppoint UnMapSLFixArray could not be located in the dynamic link libbrary KERNEL32.dll." The message comes up twice during loading of the program. Help

This may or may not help you. Give it a shot.

When Acrobat loads, it places temporary files in your local Temp folder. It does not delete them after installation! I had 65,565 temp files! After I deleted them, Acrobat seems to work just fine.

Go To: Start-Search-All Files and Folders and enter "acr*.tmp". This will tell you where your Temp folder is located. Go to that folder and delete all the temp files.

Kevin:

Did you "upgrade" to WinXP or do a complete, clean install of the new O/S. The latter is highly advised.

I searched the help forums in search of the same resolution. I have the same exact problem and am getting the same error message. It is looking for illustrator.exe from the CD-ROM drive, which would explain the temp installation files theory. Anyways, I'm getting the same error for photoshop, acrobat, illustrator AND indesign. I uninstalled and reinstalled all progs and same error. It's highly annoying! I will try to locate any undeleted instal files and see what happens!

If you have "... the same exact problem ..." then you are running under WinXP. You should install and operate all Adobe applications when logged on as administrator. You need to do a complete, removal and de-fragg then a clean re-install in safe mode.
