Anyone know how to use unicode foreign characters in Illustrator 9.0?

Tried to paste Greek characters into a layout and they just turned into ???marks.

Anyone outthere worked on foreign language projects - any tutorials available ?

Thanks
Dan

As far as I know, the only way to place foreign Unicode characters in
Illustrator is to place them first in InDesign (using Character Map for
example), convert to outlines, export as EPS then open the EPS in
Illustrator... I know it's tedious but that's the only way I could
insert Romanian characters.

Dan:

Do a SEARCH in this Forum using "foreign", "unicode" or similar key words without the quotes. This Topic has often been covered and there are some excellent suggestions in those threads.

if you have access to a MAC there is a way of getting the greek characters into illustrator.

this link explains it.
Hope this helps, i struggled with this for days, maybe ADOBE will take this problem onboard and fix it in future releases

Download the font, from the above page, on a PC and use a font converter to create a PC font set. I havent tried it but i cant see why it wont work...
