I have my color setting at "Photoshop 5 default spaces", so my placed images from Photoshop look the same as they do in PS. The blue looks purple on screen. But when I change the color settings to "Emulate AdobeŽ IllustratorŽ 6.0", the blue looks blue.

What is happening? and What can I do to fix this?

Thank you,

Hardy

Hardy,

What version of Illustrator are you using? Illustrator 6 was a MAC only version. From the above listings, you are using two different color management settings and they aren't version compatable.

Bob,

I am using Illustrator 9.0.2, and one of the options in the color settings is "Emulate AdobeŽ IllustratorŽ 6.0".

Try sRGB.

Bob,

The sRGB is selected in the "Photoshop 5 default spaces" profile.

What happens if you turn off color management in Illustrator, Hardy?

Bob,

I tried that and I got the same results. The only color setting that works is "Emulate AdobeŽ IllustratorŽ 6.0".

Then that's the one to use, Hardy. Can't knock what works.

Bob,

The only problem is the placed images from PS 6 are over saturated.

Hardy,

You'll never get a perfect color match, but have you tried using EFFECTS, COLOR, SATURATE to tone down the saturation?

I'll give it a try. I really appreciate your time and effort. Thank you very much Bob.
