Changing Font Size Gradually

I have some text on a spiral-shaped path. I need the text to start with a big size and gradually go to a smaller size on the center of the spiral. Could somebody tell me what the best and fastest way to do this is?

You might try making the text. Then using the free distort tool to make it go from big to small. Then make the type into a brush and apply it to the spiral.
