How to Live Trace a Map?

Hello there

I'm new is this world of vectoring image but I have some knowledge with Photoshop which is a little help, but I've a question..
I want to transform this map <http://www.supermapa.net/Mapas/VM-VilaGaleRS2008_M.jpg> into a vector image, my point is to make some changes on the roads and to make the map larger without losing quality, is that possible?

Of course it's possible, but not really with LiveTrace. Maps usually require the roads to be re-drawn using paths with contours, even more so when based on such a lo-res image. If you used LiveTrace, you'd only get clumps of color spots with jittery edges and way too many anchor points...
