I work with Illustrator 10.03 in Mac9.1.
I open a new document make my work and safe it in format EPS in the server without problems, but if necessary to make an alteration and save the document again, appear the following erro:

Can't save the Illustration.The file is loked or in use.
ID = -54
Why this is happen?

I get a similar message in system 10, except the error ID = -47
did you get any solutions to the problem? I keep having to save the files to another location on my machine and then overwrite the originals!

If you have NAV, turn it off. Turn file sharing off. Trash prefs. Delete the Adobe.fnt files.

Easy Errors is pretty good. Think it's freeware but you'd need to check; I've been using it for so long.
-54: 'Software lock on file; Not a subscriber'
-47: 'File is busy (delete)'
