Hi,
Just trying to save a purchased image into my design in illustrator. I haven't had any problems with CS3 on my Mac until today. I have been able to save this exact same image in the past and today it's giving this error message:

Any suggestions? I searched the forums but couldn't find a solution that worked.

Get info on the file in the finder by single-clicking on it and hitting command-i. Down at the bottom, tip open ownership & permissions (if it isn't tipped open already) and make sure that you are the owner and that you and everyone else has read & write permission. You might have to click on the little lock there to authenticate before you can change anything.
