If you have PDF filter in QXP, then you can also save as .ai file.
Get outta town!
Is this true? Would that be AI 9 and up in which the native format is PDF based?

Hunh? Non-white areas? How could that work? What if there are linked (not embedded) images in the .ai? That's gotta be a problem.
Test time tomorrow!
Of course, depending on how the file is created, you may or may not have
success with QXP clipping path.
Gary said he was using tiff format, so QXP clipping function *should* work.
And yes indeed, if you have PDF import filter, you can import I9> files into
QXP. Folks send them to us all the time, but I've only seen fairly simple
files (logos etc) so perhaps there are issues with more complex files. Of
course you can't edit these in QXP, and I can't really see a big advantage
over saving as EPS.
