I am working with a small page two column format- 4 cm column width with 0.4 cm column spacing. I have some graphics that I would like to move with the text but in the center of the page and have the text flow around the shape of the graphic rather than around a box. Text flowing in a square pattern around a circular object doesn't look very good whether it is between columns or in the column itself.

I can do it by manual insertion but it seems to me that there should be some way to anchor it to the associated text. As it is, with manual placement, I keep having to reposition it as changes take place upstream.

Select the graphic and then Graphics > Runaround Properties.
This cannot be set for anchored frames though, so I *think*
you need to have the graphic unanchored.

Thanks. I can do that but it requires that I continually move the graphic. What you are saying is that FrameMaker is not able to shape anchored frames and the runaround will be around the frame, not the graphic. Therefore I cannot do what I would like to.

I do not like manual adjustments like this because they are prone to errors whose correction has cascading effects downstream.
