Hello everybody,
I have a lot of problems dealing with tables:

1. I’d like to have 2 or 3 cells combined together to obtain a unique cell (see <http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/1879/tablecombine.jpg)> . If I try to do so, all the cells of the column are combined together.

2. I’d like to align an anchored table, but I can’t: if I try to do so, the table remains where it is (see <http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/23/tablealignment.jpg)>

3. I can’t insert text in one table: if I try to do so, the text doesn’t appear!

May you help me?
Thanks in advance
Verena

Verena, the image links in your post don't seem to be working, they're "not found".

Also, please always specify the exact version of FM you're using, from Help > About, the "pxxx" numbers.

About #3, it could be that the row has a fixed height applied to it, so that although new text can still be added to the cell, the row height forces the new text not to display. To check, highlight the row and check Table > Row Format. If the Max height is set, try changing or removing the value.

For anybody following the thread, it's the parenthesis at the end of the link that's messing it up in the browser, the links work when the paren is removed.

To comine cells, I believe you want to use the straddle command under
tables. I'm not on my PC so I cannot check right now.

For the 2nd issue, place the table in its own text frame. Put the frame
where you want.
