I had Elements 5 on my laptop (personal copy) and was provided CS2 from work. I tried to install PS2 on the same machine. The install process seemed to run, went through registration, etc. When complete - there was no indication that CS2 was install (no icons, no folders, no files, etc.) Add and remove programs indicates that CS2 is installed but it isn't any where to be found (no executable, etc.) However - Elements 5 no longer works now. When I try to repair CS2 - it indicates that CS2 is not installed (even though it is displayed in programs). I tried to uninstall CS2 (which seemed to work) but Elements would no longer work. I tried to uninstall Elements and reinstall - it will not install correctly. I uninstalled Elements, removed all folders, files, etc. that I could find with for all Adobe products (including Acrobat) and tried to reinstall - neither CS2 nor Elements will install - still same symptoms.

It appears that there must be a conflict between CS2 and Elements 5 and that the uninstall processes aren't completely removing everything.

Any ideas of how to completely clean the system of CS2 and/or Elements 5 would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using Windows XP?

CLick Start/Help and Support/Undo changes to your computer with System Restore/Restoremy computer to an earlier time.
Choose a day/time prior to when you installed PS2. This should return your computer's system and programs to before you began installing and show Elements5 again.

NOTE: Before you install anything again, always go to
CLick Start/Help and Support/Undo changes to your computer with System Restore/Create a Restore Point. This means you can always go back to this point if something isn't working.

There still must be a System Restore setting in Vista. Have a look in Help and Support.
