Hi.

I just want to know if it is possible to install CS4 on a computer that all ready has CS2 installed WITHOUT upgrading.. I need to use both applications independently of each other.

What do you mean without upgrading? If you are assuming that a CS4 upgrade overwrites or rewrites CS2 files, this is not the case. All a CS4 upgrade (assuming you're talking of an upgrade) needs is a previous CS/2/3 serial number and I think the installation disk.

You can then have CS2 AND CS4 on the same machine. They should happily co-exist.

Except for Acrobat. The earlier version of Acrobat will be removed. They
cannot co-exist peacefully.

What Ian said. As long as you are not using both versions simultaneously (very hard to do on one computer) the license for CS2 and the CS4 upgrade should work with you. The license allows you to keep the old version on the same machine. You just can't put it onto another machine where both versions might be used at the same time.

I don't think this is a problem, at all. An upgrade allows you to use both versions on the same computer (and many of the applications will run simultaneously in multiple versions). What you MAY NOT do is run two computers simultaneously with the same license, though you may install and activate on two machines for the exclusive use of the same user.
