Has anyone experienced this: Once you get CS4 installed, your PC goes through a very long (2 minute or so) start-up routine. Sometimes the PC won't even boot fully, requiring a restart. Any ideas as to what is taking so long? I uninstalled Adobe Cue and Drive, with no effect. Running WinXP Pro, 32-bit, 4G RAM, Dual Core Intel chip.
Thanks.

I have about 15 Gb left on C:, where CS4 is installed; 100 Gb on D:. Virtual memory is set to 4096 Mb.

15 GB is not much, but should not cause what you are seeing. Do a check
for virii and spyware.

Slow to boot, but not slow to run after it gets started? That sounds like your anti-virus is taking some time to scan the extra new files.

It wouldn't hurt to empty the temp folders.

I'll try your suggestions. Thanks for the responses.
