"Why do my fonts get corrupted when I use a flash drive to transfer my fonts from my old Mac PowerPC G4 running OS 9.2.2 to the font folders on my newer Mac PowerPC G5 running OS 10.4.11 and Classic?" The fonts (hundreds of them) look fine on the flash drive on my G4 but when I properly drag the flash icon to the trash on the G4 and then plug flash into my G5 all font icons are grayed out rectangles with exe???? This is exasperating to say the least. What am I doing wrong and saves time in font transfer/installation? PLEASE NOTE: If you can, please reply to my email address at freem...@comcast.net ~Thanks in advance. ~ Bruce Freeman in Oregon USA

I received email notice that I have received responses to my original question about fonts and followed the directions to get back to your reply to my question, but when I come back to the forum, I don't see your replies any where... I am a newbee to this particular forum so I am not easily finding your answers. Can someone please give me directions as to how to easily locate your answers to my question? -- oh, and excuse my ignorance... ~bf

Is there something I can do on my end to get answers to my question posted right here on the same page after my question?

No one responded to your post. That's why nothing appeared. No one who saw your post felt that they had an answer to your question. (Note that this is not Adobe Technical Support, but rather, a "user-to-user" forum, literally). And by the way, don't expect personalized responses to your private e-mail address. The idea behind these forums is that the questions and responses are fully shared.

I responded to your other post, as follows:

all font icons are grayed out rectangles with exe

They lack the extension at the end of the file name of each font, or the internal file type identifier, so OS X thinks they are executable UNIX files.
