A friend of mine doesn't have acrobat reader and he doesn't have internet access, he asked me if I could burn a copy of the reader to a CD so he could install it on his machine. Is there anyway to get a copy that you can install without having to be connected to the internet.

FYI, he's running a WinXP machine, so I need the windows version.

Download it from Adobe to your hard drive and copy to the CD (you may be able to go directly to the CD). Then take it over and run the intall on his machine. It is not installed until you run the downloaded file.

William - I think they've changed this so that you now download "Adobe Download Manager" which does require an internet connection to complete installation of Acrobat Reader.

David - you used to be able to get the installer from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/win/ but that directory now appears to be empty so I don't know what to suggest.
