Do you own Acrobat, or just Reader? Which version?

Boy, a 4 minute response and yet no reply after almost 2 days.

In case he checks back: You have to have Adobe Acrobat (the full product) and then you use the form tool.

Thanks for your quick response...

Without trying to sound too sarcastic, Adobe seems a bit less valuable to me knowing that people with Reader cannot save the file they just completed. Am I missing something?

I have the "full product". How can you make it fillable and saveable? I used distiller to create a pdf from MicroSoft Word. I then added check boxes and fill-in text boxes. People with Reader can only fill it in and cannot save it.

How are some of the pdf forms on gov't web site fillable and saveable?

No, it's an important thing to understand in your planning. You aim,
of course, to minimize your software spending. You should realise that
Adobe's aim is to sell as many copies of Acrobat as they can. These
aims are not always compatible.
