Hi,

I am trying to convert a MS Word file containing 293 pages and just as many bookmarks and hyperlinks.

Everytime I try to convert it, it finishes the process then just stops without actually creating the PDF?!

It works fine with all my other files. I am using MS Word 2000 and Adobe 6 Pro.

Any ideas?

It looks like you are running out of system resources.

One option in the pdfmaker settigns that adds a lot of info to a pdf are the tags, so disable these and try again.

also avoid having many nested tables/ text boxes as well as any transparent Gif art.

This is similar to the problem I am experiencing. I have a 29 page manual with high quality Jpegs and Gifs with transparent backgrounds. Why would the gifs be a problem? I create pdfs from InDesign and that problems never arises. My file is 7.5 megs and it trys to create a 137 meg file on Standard setting. Yet my friend can accomplish the same task of converting in seconds and produces a 2 meg file out of the same MS Word file, also using Acrobat 6Pro. Additionally I have removed and reloaded Acrobat and upgraded to 6.0.01. Any insights?

A full description of the problem would be helpful. Also, what is
print2pdf, and do you get any issues if distilling the same file
manually?
