Hi,

I'm creating PDF's from word 2000 docs using pdfmaker with acrobat 3.01.

In the pdfmaker preferences dialogue box i have the display options magnification set to 100.

Problem i have is that all the links (including bookmarks) in the document are set by default to a magnification of fit width, whereas i want them all by 100 (or something similar). I know that i can edit them all manually to Inherit Zoom, but there's a whole lot of documents with a whole lot of links. Is there anyway that i can set all links to open with the same magnification?

hope i've managed to explain what i mean properly.

thanks in advance for any responses.

It sounds like when you say "Inherit Zoom" that you mean that the PDF should "Inherit the zoom of the source file's hyperlinks,". "Inherit Zoom" in Acrobat means that when you click a link, the zoom level the link appears at will be the same as the zoom level you were at when you clicked the link.

I'm afraid though, that since you say you're using Acrobat 3.01 I don't have any answers..... Acrobat is currently at version 5.05, & I haven't used 3.01 for years, so I can't check what it can or can not do with Windows 2000.

thanks frater,

as the pages by default appear as the correct size (equiv. to say 75% in word) then your description of what "inherit zoom" means would do me fine.

if i was to upgrade acrobat would that let me set a default zoom level for all links, or is it still a case of maintaining them one by one?

i'll have a look at the product spec and see what it tells me.

thanks again
