We would need the entire message allen, word-for-word. Copy it in here, or, if you are feeling adventuresome, take the last part (Acrord32.exe caused an invalid page fault in <this part right here>), click on the SEARCH button under where it says "You are logged in as allen beard" copy or type the <this part right here> into the "What to search for" box and click the SEARCH button.

After installing ACROBAT 5.0 free version, when trying to use, as it is coming up, it gets this error: ACRORD 32 ERROR INVALID PAGE FAULT. This happens when I try to use it from the desktop, or when an application trys to use it. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it a number of times, but it always gets this error.

Thanks alot -- I did have the CITI Bank virtual creditcard software. When I exited it the Adobe reader now works. Again, THANKS. Allen

I would appreciate if someone could help me with a problem I am having in using the Acrobat Reader. When I try to open the program I get the following message: "Acrord32 has caused an error in COOLTYPE.DLL. Acrord32 will now close". I have tried deleting the program and re-downloading it from various reccomended sites, and the same thing happens. Does anyone have any guidance in this? I have Windows ME.

thanks, jeff

Lisa, PLEASE read the messages in this thread.

Jeff, COOLTYPE errors are different, and usually caused by either too
many fonts, or some damaged fonts.

Aandi, Thank you for your reply. Do you (or anyone else) know how to address the font problem that you mentioned that is causing the COOLTYPE error. Do I just start deleting fonts, or is there another approach that you'd reccomend.

thanks, jeff

jeff,

Go to the search function at the top of the window and search for "cooltype". This has been asked and answered many times.

Better yet, go to the SEARCH button in the top right corner of the page, choose the All of Adobe.com radio button, type COOLTYPE.DLL into the search box and click the SEARCH button.

This will give you the skinny on the error, and some links for instructions on troubleshooting your fonts.
