distilling Pagemaker 7.0 file to PDF leaves tiff image striped and inverted

On a Windows NT workstation, distilling a PMD file(Pagemaker 7.0)containing a tiff image, using Distiller 4.0, the resulting PDF is perfect except for the image which is horizinally sliced and inverted and reversed. Exchanging a jpeg version of the tiff in the Pagemaker document will yield a perfect image in the PDF following distilling.

How did you create the ps file from Pagemaker?
Which version of adobe ps are yopu using and which ppd did you select?
