I have created several documents in Corel WordPerfect 8.0 and I want to make these documents into PDF files. But, when I go to Adobe and try to open the file as a PDF, I get the error message: Acrobat could not open "filename.wpd" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted". I know that the file is not corrupted so I tried to print the file from Corel WordPerfect to the Acorbat Distiller and I got the error message: "Error initializing output device". Can someone help me?

Try this: Open your document in WordPerfect, go to the Print dialog, select the Acrobat Distiller printer, and select "Print to file". Now when you print, WordPerfect should create a PostScript file with a ".ps" or ".prn" file extension. Now start up the Acrobat Distiller application, and then open the PostScript file that WordPerfect created with the Distiller application. Do you get a PDF?

Also, what *exact* versions of Acrobat and Windows are you using?

I am using Windows 98 and Acrobat 5.0. It worked! Thank you so much.
