This is an error message I get sometimes when saving PDFs, whether I am creating them from scratch or editing already existing PDFs. I have no idea what it means, nor can I find any information about it's meaning anywhere. I'd love to know what the error message is trying to tell me.

When I get the error message, the thing to do seems to be to click the OK button, close the PDF, reopen it, then close it again. After that, I don't get that message again, even if I do further editing and saving to the PDF.

Paul,

This is usually caused by incorrect byte serving of the PDF. If you turn off byte range requests, by unchecking the Acrobat prefence, Allow Fast Web View, it should make the error go away, although viewing of the PDF will be slower.

This is also caused by an object in the PDF that is missing some information. I

f you have inserted graphics from different graphics programs, for example, or from different users, one of these may be causing your problem. To test this, create a copy of your document with all the graphics removed, then add them back in one by one.

Can you give more detailed steps. I'm not quite following. Where would I find where to turn off the byte range requests & where to uncheck the Acrobat preference?
