Anyone know why Dragon Naturally Speaking (DNS) and Acrobat Professional are in conflict?

Ever since I installed DNS v9.10 SP1, Acrobat Professional 7.09 crashes when attempting to open some PDF files. Acrobat is somehow calling on lhcom02w.dll in the DNS program folder. When it crashes, Acrobat provides a dialog box that says "Adobe Acrobat 7.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close." Clicking on a link in the box shows that lhcom02w.dll (v2.13.0.0) is the source of the error. The only workaround seems to involve renaming this offending dll file.

After lots of trial and error, I isolated the PDFMaker conversion setting in Acrobat Pro that causes the crash. I created several PDFs, converted out of an MS Word file, using various security settings. Here's the culprit: under the security settings in Acrobat Pro, set the Permissions box to restrict editing and printing but do not check the box to enable access for the visually impaired. Acrobat will crash when attempting to open this PDF file but only if lhcom02w.dll is located in C:\Program Files\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking9\Program. The crash does not occur if the created file includes the visually impaired setting. I moved lhcom02w.dll to another folder and Acrobat works fine.
