had the same problem with one of my pdfs. can't tell you what it means (over my head; it was in a previous thread if you search for "expected a dict object" and it recommended changing some expressions in your pdf) but i found an easy solution (from the University of Sydney Library web site; thank you!) that will hopefully help you also. have the pdf open in a separate window rather than in the browser window:
1. close your browser
2. open Adobe Acrobat/Reader
3. go to the Edit menu and select Preferences
4. In the left column, select Internet
5. Uncheck "Allow fast web view" and "Display PDF in browser"
6. click OK and open your browser (you shouldn't have to restart your computer)
