Is there any way to print the open comments on a pdf file. I know how to "Print comments" and the notes are showing on the file as "closed" notes. I also know how to "summarize" the notes and print them, but I want to print the pdf file with the notes open on the page.

Thanks,

Not in 4, but you can in 5.
Go to edit>preferences and select comments on the left pane.

then in the right pane select print pop up comments.

Go to file>print and make sure that comments is select there as well. (look for a small tick box)

I tried that and the comment note "icon" printed, but it did not open the note and print it.

Which version of Acrobat are you using?

OK make sure you have done the suggestions in my first post.
Now open the acrobat help file and add a post it note on the first page. Print only this first page to your normal printer.

Then print this first page to the distiller printer as well so you get a new pdf.

Are there open comments now on your hardcopy and in the new pdf?
