I have created a pdf file using Acrobat online. Most people have been able to open without problem. I know of at least 3 AOL users that received the file attachment under a name that I didn't give it. All of them received a file named winmail.dat and they can't open it. How can I create a pdf file that everyone can open when I send it to them by e-mail attachment? One of them uses a Mac and the other 2 have IBM format.

The Winmail.dat file is coming from your email software and has nothing to do with the PDF attachment.

"WINMAIL.DAT is a proprietary Outlook file that allows Outlook users to send Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) information (see Microsoft's technical support article at <http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q241/5/38.ASP)>. This TNEF information is unopenable and irrellevant outside of Outlook.

Your real problem is that AOL is notorious for trashing attachments, especially ones that are larger than 1MB.
