I purchased the full version of adobe acrobat. I have a document with
a PDF extenstion, and I need to edit the file. Does anyone know how
can I do that? When I open the pdf in acrobat, I don't get any edit
tools. Like I said, I bought the full version of Acrobat which I
assumed will allow me to edit files. Is there a way I can probably
convert the file to word document and edit there? I can convert doc to
pdf, but not the other way around.

I think you assumption that the full version allows you to save in other
formats is incorrect. One of the benefits of PDF is that it is a dead end.
It does not allow a document to be easily changed and therefore they are
relatively secure documents. This is why government agencies like PDF.

The touch up tool does allow some minor editing, but its purpose is to
correct typo's w/o going back to the source document. Acrobat is not used
to create or edit a document. Acrobat is a finishing tool that allows you
to create a PDF file and insert nice features (video clips, web links,
indexing, form features, etc.). It was not designed to save a file in
formats other than PDF.

Significant editing needs to be done in original source document (PageMaker,
Word, etc.).
