creating pdf files

I have just purchased acrobat 5 and am having some difficulty figuring out how to create multipaged pdf document. I have scanned the files and saved them in photoshop as adobe pdf, but how do imake them multipaged and a small file size? I have a document that is 15 pages and I want to make it flow like a book, whilst keeping it under 1 meg.

Please help

Unless you bring TIFF files into Acrobat (possibly with PDF) using DOCUMENT>Insert Pages and OCR them using Paper Capture, you can forget the size you want. The results would be graphic files and that says they will NOT be small.
