Check if disk space is running out (monitor as you print).

Hi, I have been trying to print a large (35"x55") PDF to my HP Designjet 1050c and I keep getting a "Document could not be printed" error. I am using Acrobat 5.0.5, Win2k Pro on a 2GHz P4 with 1GB of RAM. The plotter has 96MB of RAM, but does not have a postscript kit. Has anyone else had a similar problem? All suggestions are welcome!
Thanks, Steve

I have plenty of space left (21.5 GB) on my HD when I get the message. My max paging file size is 3GB, so I don't think memory and drive space is a problem.
Anything else? Steve

I would go to the HP site and see if they have an updated print driver for that model. Also try to rotate the page before printing. We have this problem at work a lot with pages over 40" on the HP5000 and a new driver seemed to solve it, but with W2000 anything can go wrong.

This will sound crazy, but it has worked for other people: In the DesignJet print properties, there is a setting for scaling. Set the scaling percentage to 99.9%.

I have the same problem! It doesn't occur when I print a document that is 17x22, but it happens for something that's 22x34. Both documents are being distilled by the same means.
