What is the difference between the two programs if any? I need photoshop to reduce the size of pics on a company website, my boss is seeing a lot more pdf files. We would like to know if you can manage photos using adobe?

Adobe is a company. Photoshop is a software application made by Adobe.

Adobe Acrobat is software that allows you to create multi-page electronic
documents (PDF's) from any application that you can print from. Anyone can
view the PDF's by using the free Acrobat Reader software. PDF's can include
vector objects, bitmap images, and text.

Adobe Photoshop is a bitmap image editing program.

Adobe are the makers of Adobe Photoshop. They aren't really something
to compare.

If I understand your question, you are wondering if Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop can be used interchangeably. No they cannot.

If you need to edit PDFs you will need the full version of Acrobat. It will only allow you to edit PDFs, not resize photos.

If you are just looking to resize photos, Photoshop can certainly do that but it's a bit of overkill if that is your only need. You might want to look for a less expensive photo editor for those small touch ups and purchase Acrobat to make and edit your PDFs.
