I've had adobe acrobat 7.0 for years, & just installed on my new toshiba m305-s4910 with a 64 bit operating system, & I'm unable to get the pdf printer to work.
Getting this error:
Warning 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port Printer. The Adobe pdf printer may be unavailable.
GetLastError: the operation completed successfully.

Ha! No such luck!
acrobat 7.0 printer function doesn't work on my 64 bit os & I'm apparently not alone.
From what I can find online, this problem has been around for years, & still there's no fix!

Am I just missing something & there really is a fix out there?
If there is, in simple english terms & directions please, could someone please point it out?
Thanks, Donna

Did you ever verify that v7.x is even WIN64 compliant ?

Maybe it doesn't work becuase AA v7.x is NOT WIN64 compliant to begin with.

I do not remember anyone reporting being able to get AA7 to work with 64 bit systems. There is an outside chance you could print to the Adobe PDF printer in print to file (if it will install) or a PS printer that you would install separately. In such a case, it might be possible to run Distiller and convert the PS file to a PDF. I am pretty sure the AcroTray will not work. The rest may if you are extremely lucky.

The best solution is to upgrade. This is a typical scenario when you upgrade your platform or OS, that other software needs to be upgraded if there is an upgrade available.
