Both computers are administrators with full sharing access on both. When a pdf is created on Computer A, Computer B can not open or copy the file. Computer A can copy the file to Computer B, which can then open it no problem.

I get an access denied error. Pdf files are being created with PDFmaker, and both computers use Adobe Acrobat Standard.

What's going on - very frustrating.

It sounds like a folders permission on Computer A. You should also check that security is not set in the Computer A PDF, but this sounds more like a network/permissions problem and not an Acrobat problem -- particularly since you indicate a copy can not be done.

The folder is shared with permission for any user to change files. What security could be set in the pdf which would cause this? There is some basic security set for the pdf to prevent changes.

Try setting "All permissions". If that works, you may be able to
reduce the permissions, but you almost certainly need more than you
have.

You're not trying to open the same file on both computers at the same time, are you? That isn't going to work--Acrobat locks the file while it is open so you can copy it but not open, rename, or delete it.

Andi - What do you mean by set "All Permissions", where do I do this at?
Thank You

I'm not a Windows network administrator, so I don't know where or how
these permissions are set. But I do not that there are permissions
more powerful than "change files".

Aandi - you were right, It looks like it works now. I had to go into folder options and uncheck simple file sharing, which gives me much more file sharing options. I then went back into the sharing options for that folder and gave "everyone" access to everything and applying the settings to all subfolders and files.
