I am just starting to use Acrobat from .Net, and are having some initial problems:

- How to create an instance of AcroExch.PDDoc from .Net?
- What COM DLL are PDDoc located in?

No, I don´t know what DLL to COM wrap from .Net to get hold of AcroExch object.

No pure client-side.

Ok...

I don't know why it should be, but I've heard it said that VB.Net and
C# are not supported for this. I don't know why, since OLE should just
be OLE. Nevertheless, you might remove a lot of unknowns by going to
the previous generation of Visual Studio.

Also, I believe you cannot do anything until you have instantiated an
AcroExch object. Have you done that?

Why do you think it is a DLL? I suspect it's more likely to be
Acrobat.exe.

Hi

If you want to use the sdk in .Net, use first create a dll in VC++. Accomplish what you want to do in this dll using the IAC. Then call this dll in .Net using Interop.

If you what to communicate to the plugins use dde messages in the VC++ dll and the plugins. Create appropriate methods in the VC++ dll to pass to the plugin. Call this method in .Net and thus u can communicate to the plugin.

This works and I have used it for watermarking and digital signatures

AcroRd32 is not Acrobat, it is the free Acrobat Reader. As documented
in the IAC Overview (OLE > Differences among the Acrobat Viewers) you
nedd Acrobat to use OLE.
