Was anybody able to install it on Windows Server 2003?
Thanks.

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, you may install one copy of such Software on a computer file server within your internal network for the sole and exclusive purpose of using such Software (from an unlimited number of client computers on your internal network) via (a) the Network File System (NFS) for UNIX versions of Acrobat Reader or (b) Windows Terminal Services. Unless otherwise expressly permitted hereunder, no other server or network use of the Software is permitted, including but not limited to using the Software (i) either directly or through commands, data or instructions from or to another computer or (ii) for internal network, internet or web hosting services.
I don't remember what is the actual behavior but I believe one can install Acrobat Reader in a Windows 2000 Server machine and use it. I don't think installation will freeze or prevent that.
I my case I think it's more like the setup/install part of the package is expecting Windows version 5.0 (Win2k) or 5.1 (Windows XP). When it sees 5.2 (Win2k3), it probably doesn't know what to do! :)
Just a thought.
Thanks,
Bruno.
1. Download the executable (AcroReader51_ENU_full.exe) and save it in your disk
2. Right click on it and choose Properties
3. Click on the Compatibility tab and check the "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:" box. On the drop down right below it, choose "Windows XP"
4. Click the OK button and double click on the executable
That did the trick for me. Now I have Acrobat Reader 5.1 installed on Windows Server 2003.
Thanks,
Bruno.
