I cannot print Acrobat pdf's to my HP LaserJet 1200. I get an error message that says "file cannot be printed." I can print to my DeskJet 932C. Any ideas to why this would be?

I am running OS 10.26 on a iMac slot-loading DV 400 Mhz with 386 mb of ram. The pdf's don't print with Acrobat 5 and 6. What other information is needed to figure out the problem?

Sevasti,
Print support has been improved in later versions of the OS. Is there
a reason you have not updated to 10.2.6?

Mike, Jeff says he has 10.2.6. Do you know that 10.2.6 is supposed to fix this problem? Or is it just a guess?

I had the same problem just last week. My office had moved while I was on vacation and when I got back, I got the same message. I could print anything else, but not pdf files. I went to HP and downloaded the latest driver update (which was the same one I had) and re-installed and that fixed the problem.
I use an iBook in an office of PCs. Hope this works for you.

Same problem here, (running 533 G4, 10.2.6, Acrobat 5.0.5). Had no problem until recently. (Did one of the automatic updates from the web change things?) Re-installing the HP driver didn't help. Just get the message that the document can't be printed. Can't even preview it through the print command. Is this an Acrobat problem or a HP problem? Does going to Acrobat 6 make any difference?

A search (for hp 1200) turns up a lot of similar problems. One solution is at
Paul G Jensen "Can't print PDF files anymore!" 6/16/03 11:31pm </cgi-bin/webx?14@@.1de97a07/2>
(click the colored text)
There may be other solutions in the search results - I didn't look through all in detail.

I can't print anything from Acrobat 6.0. I'm running on Mac OS 10.2.6 and I have an HP LaserJet 2200d printer, already tried downloading latest driver software for printer, didn't help. Any suggestions? It's very frustrating!!!

agree. We can print fine with any other app but when we are using Acrobat 6 and OS 10.2.6 and an HP printer 1200 or 1300, we cannot print or it takes forever to do so when we can.
