Hi

I am new to the group and need help. I would like to know how to make a photo into a line drawing in a simple way, I am a novice with Photoshop

there are numerous ways of doing it. the links below will give you a quick start to understand line art conversion.

 

alternately, if you have Illustrator CS2, you can use the LiveTrace feature. to access it from Bridge, go to Tools->Illustrator->Live Trace .. you have to fiddle around with the options to get the result you want...

Hi Siva
Thank you so much for your help. It has helped me a lot. I am going to
print my own cards from photos I have taken. I will let you know how I
get on. I have a business where I put images onto mugs, placemats,
coasters etc. I have just bought a foil machine, a new type, where you
print something onto paper or card, on a laser printer. You then pass
it through the foil machine and all of the print comes out the other
end in whatever colour foil you have loaded. I am hoping also to make
personalised wedding stationery and when it arrives, Christmas cards. I
have never been on a form before so I don't know if any of this is
allowed because I have a business.
Once again thank you, I am sure I shall be using the forum quite a lot.
