I am in the vitals file and I wonder if HT and WT are mislabeled for some samples (VSWTUNIT and/or VSHTUNIT). 

(HT) RID 31, 4036, 4351, 4742, 5047, 6134, 6352, 6782, 6905, 6916, 10053, 10093, 10480, 10718, 10841, 10871. RID 703, 6506, 6865, 7123, 10171, 10220, 10274. 

(WT) RID 106, 127, 946, 986, 1303, 2037, 4084, 4114, 4202, 4350, 4432, 4445, 4555, 6005, 6049 6090 6268 6334 6399 6493 6509 6792 6879 6951 6976 10043 10084 10171 10178 10211 10313 10365 10399 10413 10446 10454 10489 10510 10538 10566 10616 10627 10647 10649 10821 10840

These are values that are either missing the UNIT label, or are +3 SD above the mean.

Hi Megan,

 

It does seem like at least in some instances the units were misidentified by the site. However, vitals information is available for most people on more than one occasion, so you can look to see if values are relatively consistent…height, for example, we would not expect to change very much…but RID 31 has a height of 62.3 in 2005 and 148.6 in 2018 – those are almost certainly measured in different units.  Some of those identified below for weight have consistent values and seem plausible given the identified units (and rather unlikely if the units were wrong). I encourage you to make use of the repeated collected data on individuals to see if that clarifies odd entries.

 

I will pass along the RIDs from ADNI-4 for checking, but I believe no further modifications to the data are being made for earlier phases of ADNI.
