Tau: ADNI 2 vs ADNI 3?

to Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) Data

Hi all,

Just getting started with the database and I have a question: why are there two different metadata files / phases for the tau (AV-1451) group (taumeta and taumeta3)? Isn't there only 1 tau protocol (in ADNI 3)?

I should note that there are about 80 subjects that are in both files, so I don't think it is simply new patients and rollover patients in ADNI 3 and ADNI 2, respectively
