Request for Guidance on ADNI CSF and Plasma Biomarker Files

Dear ADNI Team,

I hope you are well.

I am currently working with an ADNI subject list and would like to extract CSF and blood/plasma biomarkers for these participants. Specifically, I am interested in biomarkers such as Aβ42, Aβ40, Aβ42/Aβ40, total tau, p-tau181/p-tau217, NfL, GFAP and APOE4, where available.

Could you please guide me on which ADNI files I should check to obtain these biomarkers for a list of subjects? I would also like to know whether there is any recommended package or merged dataset, similar to ADNIMERGE, that can be used to check or extract these biomarker variables more easily.

Hi Shahzad,

 

When you log into the IDA for ADNI (at LONI) to access the data, a ADNI Data User Guide is on that opening page. Within that document is a section on Biofluid biomarker data, which details a lot of information about the CSF and plasma data, including specific files and how to find them. I encourage you to take a look at that and then come back if you have additional questions.

 

The ARC Builder is also a tool available to you to put together a dataset with specific variables. There are a lot of video tutorials available on the site to help orient you to this tool.
