Hey,
I recently started working with the ADNI data. I was searching for the variable for getting the diagnosis at each visit. I understand  DX has a diagnosis at each visit like CN, Dementia, and MCI. I wanted the change in diagnosis with time within the MCI type. Can you tell me which file contains the diagnosis as EMCI, LMCI, SMC, CN and AD at each visit?

Hey too - I am just another user, by the way, but my strong understanding is that those five diagnosis categories apply only at baseline. There are only three follow-up diagnosis categories.
So, therefore, there is no file which 'contains the diagnosis as EMCI, LMCI, SMC, CN and AD at each visit'.
A good place to start IMHO, if you haven't already got there, is the ADNIMERGE file. I guess from the various scores available therein you could create your own categories.
No doubt an ADNI admin/mod will be along soon to confirm or otherwise :-)
I hope that is useful,
Dave

Dave is correct – the SMC, EMCI and LMCI categorizations were just used at screening. SMC are still cognitively normal, so from a diagnosis perspective, they are normal. Similarly, EMCI and LMCI are both MCI, so from a diagnostic perspective, we just consider them to be MCI. We used the distinctions at screening so that we could ensure a spread of impairment in the MCI group (SMC were added a bit later in ADNI-2 to capture individuals with memory concerns, but still cognitively normal, since this was becoming a group of interest).
