to Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) Data
Hello everyone,
I am a master’s student at the Technical University of Munich, currently pursuing my degree in Robotics, Cognition, and Intelligence. For my thesis, I am working on self-supervised PET image reconstruction, and I require a large dataset of PET images to train my model. I got access to the ADNI dataset, but I have a few questions regarding the available PET images.
I downloaded some sample images from the study labeled "ADNI Brain PET: Raw FDG." However, when I visualize these DICOM files using Matplotlib, the images appear quite noisy and do not resemble high-quality ground truth images that I could use for simulation. Are there any noise-free ground truth images available, or could you recommend any preprocessing steps to improve the PET images you provide? Lastly, could you explain how the PET images were acquired?
Thank you very much for your assistance!
