I downloaded ADAS 13 in the ADNI merge file.

#1.
Usually the total score of ADAS cog 13 is an integer, but the ADAS cog 13 score in the ADNI merge file has two decimal places.  I assume that the reason for this is that the ADAS cog "word recall” score was measured three times and the mean value of the three measures was then reported.

If somebody knows whether this is true on not, please let me know.

#2.
Usually, in the word recall test found in ADAS cog 13, the test results describe the average number of words that "can not be recalled" in the word recall test.
However, according to the ADNI manual, ADNI should be filled in with the number of words that "can be recalled" (or that are correct).

Is it OK to report the number of words that were recalled (the mean of the correct number words recalled in three test trials to two decimal places) in ADNI?

Please let me know.
Thank you in advance

It looks as though in the ADNIMERGE file, the ADAS13 scores are using the average of the word recall trials as you mentioned (in the ADAS-Cog file for ADNI-GO/2/3, ADAS_ADNIGO23.csv, the ADAS13 score uses the rounded mean of the word recall trials for ADNI-GO and 2, but in ADNI-3, it just uses the mean).

I believe in the total score calculation (and the individual question scores, again, looking at the ADAS_ADNIGO23.csv file), the number of not recalled words is used. The recalled words are recorded, but the number not recalled is used in scoring.
