Hello,
EMCI and LMCI were mainly used in ADNIGO/2 as a recruitment arm to expand the MCI cohort from ADNI-1 to include folks earlier in the disease process. However, they are all considered to have MCI, so from a diagnosis perspective (and in follow-up visits), this classification was not used. ADNI-3 and ADNI-4 dropped mention of those subgroups but still recruited along the full range of MCI. You can refer to the clinical protocol for ADNIGO and 2 to see the definitions of EMCI and LMCI and code them yourself, especially if you want to incorporate data across multiple phases of ADNI.
For ADNIGO/2, you can refer to the ARM table, which has the screening diagnosis at the recruitment level. Newly recruited participants in ADNIGO were supposed to all be EMCI. Note that the screening diagnosis was based on a subset of information, so generally not considered the final initial diagnosis.

Hello,
I believe that images are stored under the screening diagnosis, so you can check the date or visit and see if there are multiple per person…if you are only looking for the screening scan, you can preselect that visit.
