iPhone Search Creative

[perfectolabs]

Does anyone have information on how to properly set up an iPhone
search creative? I can't find any info regarding the section about
entering an Admob "Placeholder" and "Search URL". What is entered
into these field and how do they populate the search ad?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Craig,

Thanks for your interest in using AdMob's iPhone search unit.

Use the "Placeholder" value to enter the text that will auto-populate
the search field when the ad loads. The search URL is your site where
you'll be sending the user's query. For example, to send users to a
Google search, the URL would be http://google.com/m/search?q=%query% .
A query to ebay might look like: http://shop.ebay.com/?_nkw=%query%.
Note the %query% token is replaced with whatever text the user entered
into the search field.

When you do it I give you the source code to a sample iPhone website that collects Emails and is very effective when properly targeted!

BTW... The URL is the LANDING page for the Cell Phone... When you are first starting ONLY do the iPhone... There is PLENTY of traffic!

AdMob is rapidly improving their self service ad tools. I am impressed and I LOVE the targeting.... Now all we need is KEYWORD or category targeting guys.... Age is nice...

BY THEY WAY... If you can not get your banner creative to load with Firefox use Google Chrome or IE. I can not get their silly image scripts to work on FireFox...

When you pass variables using the URL you want to "begin" the variable with a ?

Would become
http://BankruptcyCall.info/?%query%

What are you passing in AdMob? Or what is your intent? AdMob is not providing keyword search. Your advert just appears where they serve it. What is the purpose of query? What am I missing with the new AdMob??

Normally you use the ? in a website like this:

Play with the link and note I put your name in the Title Block and it shows within the text of the landing page. This keeps Google happy. It is dynamic php landing page stuff...

I use a program called SpeedPPC to generate thousands of combinations of seed, expansion, and final keywords in a few minutes. They just came out with a new version 4.0 but I have not updated yet. Kinda awesome I have read but even the old one is probably my favorite and most time saving tool OF ALL!
