Sir/Madam,

With reference to the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to inform that the Australian side has raised the following query regarding the Product Specific Rules (PSRs) proposed by the Department of Pharmaceuticals for the enclosed medical device tariff lines, which are likely to be discussed during the forthcoming intersessional meeting:

a.                 "Noting the subheadings are distinct goods, grateful if India can advise where the subheading level movement is occurring here that would require a PSR of CTSH?"
b.                 "There are no subheadings in this heading making the use of CTSH redundant and placing additional administrative burden on traders for no reason."

2.                 In this regard, the MedTech Policy Division of the Department, EPCMD and medical devices associations/stakeholders are requested to furnish their inputs/comments against each tariff line in the enclosed Excel sheet and share the same with the Department at the earliest.

Regards,
