Dear ADMI Members,

Greetings from ADMI.

With reference to the email received from the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) regarding fostering sustainable trade relations between India and Malaysia, inputs have been sought from Indian pharmaceutical and medical device industry stakeholders on Indian products with export potential in the Malaysian market.

The inputs may particularly cover the following aspects:

  • Malaysia’s global import basket and market demand
  • Strengths and competitiveness of Indian products
  • Existing trade barriers/challenges
  • Regulatory or market access issues
  • Any other relevant suggestions or observations

In this regard, members are kindly requested to share their valuable inputs at the earliest to enable ADMI to compile and submit a consolidated response to the Department for onward communication to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

We request you to kindly share your responses by return email at the earliest convenience.

Your support and participation in this important initiative will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

CRASH CRASH CRASH

Economic Advisor (IC) from Joint Secretary (South)

Dear Shri Nair,

As part of our efforts to have more sustainable trade relations between India and Malaysia, it has been decided to urgently identify Indian products which can be exported to Malaysia.

In this regard, inputs may be provided based on, among other factors, Malaysia's global import basket/demand, strengths of our products, trade barriers etc.

Grateful if inputs may be provided by EOB of 22 May 2026.
