This Friday (June 20th) celebrate the summer solstice with Jay on Sodus Bay!!  He's paddling from 10:00 - 12:00 (and maybe an hour longer if folks choose too) , launching at Sodus Point Beach Park.  (7958 Wickham Blvd, Sodus Point) This sounds like a really nice paddle!!  You'll launch from the sandy beach next to the Wayne County Sheriff substation.  Be sure to let Jay know if you're planning to paddle.  That way if he has to cancel he can let you know.

Monday June 23 we'll paddle the west river near Naples.  The put in is at the DEC parking lot on Rt. 21 at the very south end of Canandaigua Lake in Woodsville.  We'll paddle across the end of the lake, turn into the river and hopefully be able to paddle quite a way down Naples creek (it was beautiful a couple weeks ago)  If the creek is not navigable, we'll stay on the river. This is a very nice paddle, sometimes eagles, lots of birds, sometimes just paddlers!!! 

10:00 - 12:00   bring pfd, hydration, boating supplies and anything that keeps you comfortable paddling. 

I'm sure Jim will happily lead anyone who would like to join him at "Brats and Brew" for lunch or a drink after the paddle.  The food is great!  I know it's on my agenda!  Plan to come for lunch.

A plea for help - Saturday July 5 - The Geneva Paddle Fest.  10:00 - 4:00.  (You don't have to come for the entire time. ) They are looking for folks to help on the 'land' and also in the water.  To introduce new folks to the experience of paddling.  Help folks get in boats, talk with them about safety, pfds, etc.  Chat about paddling etc.  These will be people who want to try paddling probably for a first time.  If you are willing to be on the water - bring your own boat.   Let me know if this is something you might be able to help out with.  I plan on being there.  Jackson will have an ADK table set up.

I'll be sending out an email shortly with info about boats for sale.  A number of nice "slightly used" boats have come to our attention.  If you're in the market - watch for that e mail.
