picnic - paddles - and stuff

Hey Waterway's Folks - Next Wednesday (Aug 5th) is the ADK picnic at Mendon Ponds Park.  It's always a fun event and a great chance to visit with other ADK'ers.  4:00 - 8:00 at the Canfieldwoods Shelter.  This is NOT the place we've been in the past!!  Be sure to look for Canfieldwoods shelter.  Let Bill know what you're bringing (barnc...@gmail.com) and see you there.  Let's have lot's of paddle people there!!!

Next Monday's paddle is at Skaneateles Lake....this should be a great paddle (if the weather cooperates).  We're meeting at the Bass Pro Shop in Auburn at 9:00 and driving together to the put in.  There are details on the ADK-gvc.org website.  Be sure to let me (cano...@hotmail.com) or Jim Bird (james...@gmail.com) know if you're coming.  (just in case we have to cancel we'll know who to contact)  It has been suggested we might want to bring snorkel equipment along - up to you.  (I'm going to)  Be sure to bring a lunch and snacks too.  

Another picnic - Monday Aug. 10th.  We'll paddle at the north end of Hemlock lake  10:00 - 12:00 and then meet at the little park there for a paddlers picnic.  Bring a dish to pass and we'll supply drinks and Hots.  We usually have great food at this one!!!  So - start thinking about what you're going to bring.  Anyone is welcome - don't worry if you haven't paddled this year - you're still welcome to join us.  Or even if you're just thinking about paddling - come join.
